I put in an order to Amazon for my daughter's birthday, and to round it out to get free shipping, I threw on a few more things I had been looking for. Three of which were Vince Guaraldi CD's: Greatest Hits; Alma-Ville, and Jazz Impressions of Black Orpheus including "Cast your fate to the Wind".
I obviously am entertaining the piano side of my musical brain, but some of the pieces have some really tasty guitar work. "The Masked Marvel", off of "Alma-Ville" just blew me away. Two guitarists are listed, Herb Ellis, and Eddie Duran. Some really nice stuff. Check it out if you get a chance.
Guraldi's approach to music is really fun, and is just very different from a lot of other stuff I listen to. :
P.S. I tried to find some on youtube, but none seems to exist, other than someone's pics set to a Snoopy Christmas tune. You can go to Amazon and check out samples there.
Ok, I take it back, I found these two:
Cast your fate to the Wind
From his son, with some really cool jazz piano licks in the background
