    Utilikilts - who woulda thunk?

    Dear fashion gods,

I'm Irish not Scottish so would I need one even though I don't have a floral print guitar?

I can't say that I've given up on a flanger cause I've never liked the effect either. I also can't say the same about Tremolo. I hate them both equally. - Tone2TheBone 2009

I tried some new sounds with my flower strat and Guitar Rig 3...

Nothing really serious (and a lot of sour tones..) but here it is anyway.
I still have a hard time dialing in a good lead tone due to the vintage 50´s style pickups. The plexi semi-dirty sound turned out quite good though...

Unfortunately my strings is all black and worn out (crappy fender strings!!!) the tone will probably improve with new and better ones...

I found the backing track here, but I think that its been featured on the fret before: http://www.freshbt.com/backing_track...ock_Ballad.htm

Sounds very...um, Strat-like. I think your tone quest should be concluded.

I liked that playing and tone, SS. Nice and strat-like and yet sounds just like you. Which is a good thing.

Not that anyone asked, but I tend to like necking most of the time.

    Thanks for listening!

Friends, I suspect that the floral pattern would be a smashing success in Nashville.

They probably would chase me out of town playing if I played like this though, but when I played around with this Hellecaster style backing track I just HAD to record something.

I think that the "Rose Garden Strat" twangs really nicely on this one.

Nice! Somehow, that playing seems to go with Spud's big Secret Weapon BBQ. Pass the sauce!

    Yummy!

I bet that the original Spudsauce is both hot and tasty

Care to share the recipe Spud?
