I had the same prob after I cleared my cookie cache.
The system would not take my password to allow me to log back in after I did some maintenence on my PC. I finally today did a password reset. I know I had the right password because I first tried to reset to that password but since I had used it in the last year it was not allowed. What gives ??

Security thing - you'll have to create a different password from the previous one. The password reset function should work - just check your spam folder in case the fret email ends up in there.
