    Default Hephalumps & Woozels

On the beer Open Mic thread I posted a reference to Hephalumps & Woozels.

Has anyone else seen the classic animated Winnie the Pooh short with the paranoid Hephalumps & Woozels bad trip? They used to show it on TV in the US every now and then several decades ago.

Hey SS and Guitar Chris, is Winnie the Pooh well known in the non-anglophone world?

Of course, but he is named "Nalle Puh" here..
I can't say that I've given up on a flanger cause I've never liked the effect either. I also can't say the same about Tremolo. I hate them both equally. - Tone2TheBone 2009

In English Winnie is unknown as an actual name. I suppose it could be considered a nickname for Winnifred, but NO-ONE in there right mind would name a kid Winnifred today.

....& Pooh, well let's just say that it is scatological & leave it at that.

Do Nalle & Puh conjure up any meanings in Swedish?

What is Piglet & Eyeores name in Swedish?

Nalle means teddybear.. Puh is not a word.
    Nasse = Piglet
    Ior = Eyeores

    I misspelled Heffalumps and Woozles.

    Here is the song:

    Heffalumps And Woozles

    They're black, they're brown,
    They're up, they're down
    They're in, they're out
    They're all about
    They're far, they're near
    They're gone, they're here
They're quick and slick, they're insincere
Beware, beware, be a very wary bear

A heffalump a woozle is very confusle
A heffalump a woozle's very sly, sly, sly
They come in one's and twosles
    But if they so choosles
Before your eyes you'll see them multiply, ply, ply

    They're extraordinary
    So better be wary
Because they come in every shape and size, size, size
    If honey's what you covet
You'll find that they love it
Because they'll guzzle up the thing you prize

Beware, beware, be a very wary bear

    They're extraordinary
    So better be wary
Because they come in every shape and size, size, size
    If honey's what you covet
You'll find that they love it
Because they'll guzzle up the thing you prize

    They're black, they're brown
    They're up, they're down
    They're in, they're out
    They're all about
    They're far, they're near
    They're gone, they're here
They're quick and slick, they're insincere
    Beware, beware, beware, beware, beware!

    Yes...

My daughter has quite a few Winnie the pooh movies / books... but these days she is into those horrible "bratz" dolls..

I once knew a kid that had every Pooh thing sold. When you walked into the house you could see Pooh all over the place.

You've got me rolling on the floor Spud!!

There are some adult women like that; wearing Pooh or Snoopy shirts all the time.
