    Default your perfect day off

    ok...

imagine... if you will. a weekday, not a weekend. let's say in 'this universe', the Boss gave you a free 'comp time' day, to do whatever you wanted.

    what would you do?

I'd fight off the urge to do chores around the house, and instead, go fishing.

This comp day would have to be a school day and my wife couldn't have it off as well...

Now with all the peace and quite of solitude

I would stay at home get 420 friendly and play my guitar (loudly) all day long.

Don't have a boss so I'd probably just do what I've been doing for the last 3 1/2 months, play guitar, ride my bicycle, go for a hike and lay out in the yard.

If it could be a perfect day off, it would look like this:

The kids let us sleep in until about 8:30 am. We're in a cabin in the mountains somewhere, and there's a knock at the door.

Room service. Complete breakfast with every high calorie, high cholesterol breakfast food you could imagine. Strong coffee and fresh orange juice as well.

The family gets ready, and we all go do something together, then do something for each other individually. Mrs. Kat goes to a spa for some pampering, Older Kid Kat gets to ride go karts, play video games, Baby Kat gets to tumble around at a kiddie gym, and Daddy Kat gets to go to the music store and purchase the amph he's been GASsing for for a while, along with a nice Tele.

We go back to the room and take a nap for about two hours. It's peaceful and quiet.

Then, we all get up and go have a family night out at a good, hole in the wall type restaurant.

Stuffed and tired, we return and put the kids to bed, then Mrs. Kat and I go out on the front porch and have a beer or two and relax, before retiring for the night.

That, my friends, would be the perfect day off for me.

I like how descriptive you are Kat. Sounds like the perfect day. But I like Cheetos too, so Stingx comes in a close second.

Kat, I really like your perfect day. Mine would depend if it's a solo day or a day with the family. The family day could be very similar to yours, but the solo day would start with a fishing trip in the morning (with somebody else cleaning what we catch - which would a JOB because we'd tear them up), 18 holes of golf after lunch, a short nap afterward, go out to eat with my friends and then some serious jammin' after supper. Yep, that'd do it for me... :
