Default Mark Selby - Nine Pound Hammer

Mark Selby's new album "Nine Pound Hammer" has some great guitar playing and bluesy rootsy guitar sounds. The whole album sounds real organic from the drums to the vocals to the guitars.

He sings about many of the same issues that give men the blues but does it in his own clever way. I like the way he paints his lyrical pictures.

If you don't know Mark has been one of Kenny Wayne Shepherd's main song writers and has penned many of his most popular songs. I was lucky enough to catch them touring together and a rare instance of them playing together during Kenny's set. Mark knows how to play very well.

I give it a thumbs up.:

August 30th with John Fogerty at Copper Mountain Colorado! I'm definitely going to be there.

I've never heard of Mark Selby until now but he sounds great and I've loved John Fogerty since I was 15 years old. That was a long time ago.

That sounds like a great show BH. Last time I saw Mark he had a killer band. Very tight. I think you are in for a treat.
