    Default Next Purchase Curiosity

What do you think will be your next guitar or gear related purchase.

My thoughts change about a purchase change from day-to-day and it always includes a guitar. However, I think my next purchase will be a new speaker for the AD30VT. DVM and gang convinced me in an older thread that it was a good investment.

So, what are you kicking around for your next purchase.

From picks, to Gibson, to Marshall stacks - you name it.

My son told me if I quit smoking he'll buy me a Marshall stack. But I think CB would get more use out of that than I would. Right now I'm really leaning toward either a mandolin, or a Martin (don't tell the guys over on the Washburn forum about that last one).

I started to post SHINER IS BUYING A MARTIN in real big red font over at the Washburn forum, but then I thought they would all jump on me for attempting to start a fight.

I need an Airbrake attenuator for my Dr. Z MAZ 18. 18 watts is loud, and I can't get the mojo working on it without rattling the walls.

Also on my list: the Lovekraft Chupacabra pedal.

My next purchase will be a Fender Super Champ XD - AdvanceMusic up in Burlington has them. It sounds very nice and has gotten many good reviews. It will be my primary amp. Since I don't gig, it should be fine - the 15w should be enough to annoy the neighbors and my family :

My next purchase? Who knows. I saw a Fender Studio lead on ebay the other day in absolutely mint condition...that was the first guitar amp I ever bought and it had to be in the early 80's. I put a bid down but was outbid. The winning bid was close to what I paid for the amp NEW over 25 years ago.

If I have a purchase in the near future, I might go for a Peavey Vypyr or Vox Black Diamond amp, but I'm in no hurry right now to buy any gear. I've been pretty satisfied with the gear I have now.

    Pedals: Digitech Bad Monkey.

Well, if all goes well, my next purchase will be a Jackson DK2m plus a super 5-way and 5 on/on mini-toggles and 2 on/on/on mini toggles for a combined total of around 35-38 tones + dedicated killswitches and an over-all killswitch.

Either that or a Fender Lite Ash Stratocaster in natural finish.

Or maybe an Epiphone Dot Studio or similar, replace the pickups and add some modded wiring. . .

. . . Been wanting to change the speaker in my amp for a while. . .

. . .Too much gas, not enough cash. . .

I'm thinking a "telecaster" style guitar but I also want a tube amp. Such difficult decisions...

I need to sell some stuff on Craiglist first...but Im thinkin a used Blues Jr or a Boss RC-20XL Loop Station. But Im thinkin I need the Loop Station more than I need another amp and I think itd help me alot with my rythmn, leads and help me advance to another level...whereas I feel Im in kind of a rut without it.

Strum (and maybe a few more veteran Fretnetters),

You've known me long enough to know I've been a 'horse trader', on a weekly Search & Acquire Mission, on my local GAS Station's speed-dial to tip me on the latest trade-ins that hit the place.

    So here's a shocker: None.

I've got more than I need...what's the opposite of GAS? :

Any new purchases would be somewhat in the future, but like Strummy I'd consider a speaker for my AD30VT, a bass, and a Danelectro Cool Cat Fuzz.

Gotta put some $$ aside to get The Force Unleashed for the PS3 too.

I must add the "Lucille" to my list, but a distant second to the speaker.

Maybe a used one will pop up.

There is a Squire Deluxe Strat in white as well as an American Standard in white in the local L & M. I'm going to have to A/B them I think.
