I fingerpicked it and felt motivated to try some different dissonant melodies.
I hope you enjoy it - let me hear what you think.

Nice takes everyone!
I can't say that I've given up on a flanger cause I've never liked the effect either. I also can't say the same about Tremolo. I hate them both equally. - Tone2TheBone 2009
Nice one Jimi! I like those intervals (Major Seconds and Minor Seconds) Great tone too. What gear did you use for the recording?

Thank you Robert! It's nice that you inserted a link in your post so that everyone can find out about "crazy intervals" :-)Originally Posted by Robert

RAT - you mean that distortion pedal model in Gearbox?

Jimi, I also listened yesterday and was wowed. That was really nice! I am glad to know more about how you did it too.

Here's my VERY FIRST take at home recording on the fret....besides what I have done with my band (and that was a very semi-pro setup).
You all have read my thread about what interface and what program I wanted. I already had audacity and I had a friend of mine let me borrow a 20 dollar interface..... I used my Gibson Faded SG into my BBE Green Screamer straight into a LightSnake.......it works for now but I cannot use my mics or any of my awesome amps.....its depressing but I accomplished my goal thus far: To jam with my awesome friends on the fret. Don't mind the playing, I was...and am pretty high on vicodin right now (I have horrible Migraines...and they have been getting worse, and that's what the Dr. gave me until I can get a CAT scan and all that jazz) so if the playing is a little sloppy please forgive......
YAY my first fret recording! Tell me how you like it!

Lagrange, that was pretty sweet. Some rockier tone might have been nice and maybe the guitar track was a bit loud in comparison to the backing track, but what the heck, it sounded good and you played with attitude. Respect.

Thanks.... Like I said, I'm not exactly myself right now . I'm glad to be out of pain for the few precious hours before I go to bed, and that was my first shot with the LightSnake. I'm gonna do a bunch tomorrow so hopefully I can get a better tone out of the cheap stuff I got. FWIW I think its so so and I feel I could do much better.Originally Posted by Robert
