Can anyone recommend software that will convert mp4 video to regular dvd format, that is.. something that can be played on an older dvd player. ?

    thanks

    Roxio Toast?

Just drop the file on the app and burn it to a DVD.
I can't say that I've given up on a flanger cause I've never liked the effect either. I also can't say the same about Tremolo. I hate them both equally. - Tone2TheBone 2009

I tried that, it just burnt it as mp4.
Strangely enough, I tried iDVD, it looks like it's working, slow though.
It's a 3 hr movie that came down the pipe from Google video as mp4 that I want to view on tv/dvd player.

I'll post the results success or fail.

If that doesnt work try SUPER. All you have to do is google SUPER and the first site is the download site.

Thanks guy's, Squireman, I'm going to look for that right now.

Success, it was slow but worked.
MP4 + iDVD = playable on older DVD player.
Had to sacrifice a bit of quality due to single layer DVD.

Ted, I forgot to add that you need to select "video" in Toast and then drop the file over that area in Toast.

    Works for me.

    No problem Ted...

I like the trial by error method myself
