    Default Guardian guitar cases

A recent "Stupid Deal Of The Day" was for Guardian guitar cases. I had been searching for a quality case for my PRS style guitar for years but everything was WAY too expensive. I also recently acquired an Ibanez SZ520 that is totally worth protecting but I didn't have a case for it either.

    (enter Guardian cases).

I am very pleased with the overall construction. The outside dimensions are smaller than other rectangular cases I have so when I first unpacked them I was a bit concerned that they were too small. No worries. I opened them up and there is ample padding in all the right places and the guitar fits like almost like glove. The body is snugly cradled as well as almost the whole length of the neck. There is a nice pocket for the headstock so that it doesn't touch or rest on anything.

The outer shell is a plastic much like the better known SKB case which is durable, scuff and water resistant. The narrow bottom of each case has 4 metal feet that keeps the case off the floor. I guess that is so when you set the case down in a pool of bar swill it wont get into the case.

Anyway, nothing about these cases screams cheap to me. They appear functional and protective which is exactly what I was looking for.: Definitely worth the Stupid Deal price so keep an eye out for the deal. There may be some floating aound still.

I have a 3 Guardian 'Deluxe Hardshell' cases and 1 'Tweed' as my Local GAS Station carries some of the more common sizes from 3 of their series as a quality case at a lower price-point alternative to the Manufacturer's Case or TKL, especially since he deals a lot in used/trade-in guitars. These links to Guardian's website show the MSRP's, but thier markup is 'healthy', and he usually gets them in big enuff lots to sell them at around 50% off.
