Default Saw Tom Cochrane in Camrose last night

The World Junior A Hockey Challenge is starting in my city, Camrose, today. Yesterday, after the opening ceremonies, Tom Cochrane and Red Rider performed. It was pretty good. Big sound and great players. Too bad I'm going to have to miss some of the hockey games because I am going to Ontario on Thursday.

The guy who opened for them was really, really good (Shaun Verrault). He is most known for playing and singing in the band Widemouth Mason. Yesterday he did a great job with just acoustic guitar and his voice. I was very impressed.

Anyway, here is Tom Cochrane's (probably) biggest hit - Life Is A Highway.

That's pretty cool Robert. Tom's been around for a while. I'm glad to see he's still doing stuff with Red Rider. I loved the early 80s stuff they did. It was just different enough to catch my ear. Did you ever expect to get such good music in Camrose?

Been a TC & RR fan for years. And Shaun/Wide Mouth Mason are freakin' awesome - the raw talent in that band has to be seen to be believed. Oh, they are from SASKATCHEWAN : (Shaun even lived in Humboldt for a while in grade school).
