voting early for us is 'greener'. both of us can walk from our respective offices to the county court annex. else we have to drive across town.

also more convenient, also saves missing work.

but i also understand the desire to be part of the big day.

I'm certainly going to be glued to the TV tonight. Debating staying up to see who gets it. *Also debating on getting sloppy drunk to deal with whoever gets it.

    *hope that's not too political

    I voted.

Oregon has vote by mail. I got my ballot about 2 and a half weeks ago. From that time on there are ballot boxes at the libraries and other locations. I filled mine out a week ago and dropped it off at my local library which is about a half a mile from my house.

As of yesterday it was reported that more than half of the voters have turned in their ballots.

I don't know if all states are voting for judges or not but I'm at a loss as to what to do about the "shall so and so be retained as such and such Judge".

I don't know any of these judges. I wouldn't know how to vote. What do you guys do about these questions? This is of course asking in generic terms. What would you do if you don't know anything about such posts?

I typically get a copy of the ballot ahead of time, either online or because my mother in law, who is blind, votes via absentee ballot. I then will do as much research as I can online to see what kinds of decisions these judges made and then vote accordingly. I also am lucky in that my closest friend is a professor of Political Science at USF so I usually consult him as well about anything on the ballot about which I am uninformed or just don't understand. When still in doubt, I do what Warren does and vote against them all.

I just downloaded a sample ballot for our county about half an hour ago. I have to leave here in about half an hour. I've already gone through the sample to check off who I'm voting for. I don't have time to research the judge appointments right now though I wish I would have thought about that yesterday. You have a good answer RoG.

LOL!! Idaho used to forbid by law the sale of liquor until the polls were closed. They must have changed the laws partly for that reason. Seems un-American the other way.

Stopped on the way home to vote - no line, just me and one guy in the process of voting. They said early morning (when I had planned on voting) it was from the center of the building to about 30 feet outside. Probably a good 50 feet from the table to the door.

The wife and I voted at about 4:30. It only took about 5 minutes. We'll be watching the results at my favorite home away from home whilst guzzling Victory Hop Devil (with a Rouge Arrogant Bastard thrown in for good measure).
