I was the 66'th person to vote on the S-Z line at 6:20am this morning.
ok all you u.s. fretters....have you voted or are you going to...
man i love being able to vote during off-peak hours....i was in and out in less than 20 minutes!
....on a light note....after i got my ballot (only took 5 minutes) and was waiting my turn for a booth....i asked a young lady sitting in a chair if it was busier earlier and she put her finger to her mouth and shook her head....one of the other ladies said she wasn't allowed to talk....so i asked if she had been bad and was in time-out....got a pretty good laugh from the people around me
i guess she was some sort of "observer" to watch for problems....

We voted on Saturday. It was relatively painless. We waited just under an hour on line, much less than I thought we would have to with it being a Saturday and the last weekend of early voting.

Since we dont talk politics on this forum I cannot say which young black man I would vote for if I lived in the US.
I can't say that I've given up on a flanger cause I've never liked the effect either. I also can't say the same about Tremolo. I hate them both equally. - Tone2TheBone 2009
Haven't voted yet, but will go either at lunch or after work. The bad thing is that the voting place is right outside my neighborhood exit. I didn't stop this morning, because it was packed with cars lined up on both sides of the road.
You betcha

SS, you probably could vote in Chicago or Florida.

Just voted!!! No lines, in and out in about 10 mnutes. Easy walk from the condo. Pretty efficient. Hard to believe I can say that about Florida!!
FWIW we much prefer to vote on election day. Like the whole going to the poll, stand in the booth thing. Just seems more connected to the process.

Mrs. PBP and Baby Cobra will be voting in an hour or so. I will vote after work. Other STATES early voting is a foreign idea to us in Philly. We have absentee ballots but not early voting.
i agree....voting on election day just seems like the thing to do....some friends waited in line for 2 hours to vote early....i vote on election day and it takes less than 20 minutes.... :Originally Posted by evenkeel

Ditto. I was tempted to hop over from the courthouse to the county admin building when I was at court the last couple of times, but decided I wanted to join the majority of the voters on election day.

In the past I have always voted on election day. The reason I chose to do early voting this time around is that I cannot afford to miss any work time, and there is no guarantee how long or short the process will take on any given day. I can not even get back and forth from my polling place to my job in my half hour lunch time let alone wait on line and cast a vote. Voting early on a Saturday allowed me not to have to worry about that. Personally, I think election day should be a paid federal holiday so everyone can have time to vote and not be concerned about missing work, but that's another issue altogether.

As city government employees we get 2 hours off to vote. Depends on your work schedule though.
