Interesting to know he used Marshalls as well. I had always seen him in photos with Carvins (or was that a contract he had with Carvin?). FZ has this sound where when he stops playing there is a woosh/rumble sound just after. IT7s also noticeable on Steve Vai's Flexable album. I'd always attributed it to Carvin amps.
