Anyone know a quick way to gauge one's righteousness?

Thank you, sir. I am thinking I might need a man of the cloth to do the righteous math.

(Shiner consults his "righteousness" gage) . . . dude, you're only at about a 7.3 . . . and since they use the word "righteous" or some variation thereof twice, I'm thinkin' they're looking for at least an 8.7 or higher. I'd pass.

Remember, there's no shame in failing to try . . . only in trying and failing.

Whether you get the gig or not, after you ring them up they'll be knocking on your door giving you a copy of The Watchtower. Call from someone else's phone.

    I'm a bit lost.

Does the advertiser actually mean 'righteous' to be 'strongly religious' ?
My first read was they were 12 year old Cali surfers haha.

"We need some totally righteous dudes man"

    Lucky I didn't call them!

Good call. Sadly my righteousometer is in the shop right now.

Although if you have to ask if you are righteous enough, you probably aren't

I suppose it depends on whether or not they are looking for self-righteousness. If so, just call them up and lecture them from a position of assumed moral superiority.

Yeah, but a truly righteous man is a humble spirit and would defer from claiming "enough righteousness" to qualify for this gig. So, I guess that unless you're walking on water and healing the sick, you'd probably have to ask. Unless of course you've got a boldness of spirit that permeates even the very air you breath. THEN, you can probably claim enough righteousness to jam with these dudes.

Metal indeed. A truly righteous man would be playing something more along the lines of Hendrix or Clapton or even the Rev. Billy G! :
