No Godin? No Eastwood? No Seagull? No Norman? No Art & Lutherie? No Canadian Guitars I guess.

Hey Blazes, LA music are very high priced. Take a look at Centralmusic.com
They are based in Welland Ontario, and will beat L.A. prices by hundreds.
Email Darren with your requests. They are a Gibson, Fender Custom Shop, Marshall, Fulltone, dealer to name a few. They are all musicians and know the best equipment. I have purchased everything from Squiers to Marshall combos from them. Email Darren. He is the best.

Blazes to tell the truth Steve's has a lot of equipment I am not used to looking at price wise. I mainly keep to the Fender Gibson, guitars and the Fender, Marshall tube amps. So I can't really say if they are good prices or not.
The Epiphones seem to be resonably priced. They do have Gibson but you have to call for prices. I didn't see any Fenders at all.

I personally have only purchased one item online. I picked up an Epiphone Elitist Les Paul Custom in Wine red from the US Musicians Friend. I had it delivered to my daughters place in the US. It was on a blowout sale for 799 US. I was on my way for a visit anyway and it brought it home and delcared it at the border and paid no duty or taxes because it was under our limit.
It was flawless and is really as good or better than my 1996 Gibson LP Standard.
The place is mentioned (Central Music) always blows me away with their prices. I look up an item on MF, or Music123 and Central is lower. I purchased a 2008 Gibson Studio in Fireburst in April for 1099, brand new. They are 1399 in the US. They are really nice people to deal with and will ship anywhere in Canada.
I really don't like to buy anything unless I try it out first.
Prices will probably be going up due to the American dollar.

If you are going to buy guitars from an on-line store or if these are representative of the prices up there - I would look for a house in the US.

Hey JS on top of the prices there is a 13% tax on top. I have done the American home thing. My daughter lives there, and we spend months at a time down there. I try to take advantage of that as well. The problem is the fluctuating exchange rate. Right now it is about 25 to 30 cents on the dollar, and that levels the playing field.
It is amazing how some of the shops up here actually are less than the US online stores. This year I bought a 2008 Studio for 1099 and they were 1399 on MF.
