I've already been lucky on that date. My 12 year old daughter was born on December 13, 2006 - Friday the 13th at that!

Since she wasn't planned, we didn't know whether to call her "Oops" or "Lucky".

Algonquin & SuperSwede have kindly agreed to take over Vood's & Robert's roles in chosing the winner. They did not wish to join the raffle anyway & this way no participant will be involved in choosing the winner.

All current entrants have agreed to this change. Thanks all!

Now Vood can enter the raffle! ::::

    To be clear:

    1) All raffle money should still be sent to duhvoodooman & he will send the money to the winner according to the rules on the Raffle page.

    2) On Saturday Jan 10 Algonquin will assign a number from 1 to the number of entrants to each participant & send this list to SuperSwede & only to SuperSwede.

    3) Spud's role is unchanged.

    4) On Sunday Jan 11 2008, after Spud announces the winning number. Algonquin posts the name of the winning entrant & SuperSwede verifies that the number matches the name.

    No problemos... good luck everyone!
I can't say that I've given up on a flanger cause I've never liked the effect either. I also can't say the same about Tremolo. I hate them both equally. - Tone2TheBone 2009

I think that we should add to the rules that the winner can combine their winnings with other resources (ie their own money) in order to purchase gear.

I'm sure that this would probably happen anyway, but we might as well make it official.

But then you would be like me trying to figure out what to do with the extra $0.02. It doesn't get me as close to the ES335 as I had hoped.

An added benefit of participating & losing is that you get to have the warm feeling that you helped a fellow fretter get some gear.

I plan on wallowing in the winner's happiness.

I agree - since it's a hopeless proposition for you, Strum, just send me the money if you win and I'll find something cheaper...:

I know that you would have offered to do the same for me, Strum, if the situation were reversed - as you have for so many other Fretters in the past...
