Thanks for the MANY welcomes! As to the particulars. I'm middle age-ish, of very meager skill. Currently I have a dis- assembled 2000 MIM strat (in the midst of upgrading based on the sound advice I've found here). I play through a Fender Hot Rod Deluxe and a mini marshall stack. No pedals or effects at this point, I figure I need a decent guitar that sounds good on it's own first.
Also have a "project" going. A few years ago I purchased a strat-shaped body that had been contoured, but not routed. So, this winter, I have begun bringing this one to completion. It's been interesting, to say the least! Will keep ya posted on the progress of that potential train wreck and thanks again for the warm welcome!
Pics of the train wreck in progress would be greatly appreciated!Originally Posted by WindyCity100

We do enjoy a good train wreck around here. We'd love to share in your misery if you'll be so kind to post some pictures along the way.
