Hello!
Thomas Blug, a german guitarist was elected as Stratking of Europe.
Most times he plays an old 61 Fender Strat. In the youtube video he describes (with a nice german accent) his concept of using the volume control of his guitar. I like his tone very much. I met him at the Frankfurt Musik Fair and he really is a friendly guy, carrying his 61 strat only in a brown worn out gigbag..
Her you see him live in Rallte / The Netherlands together with Thijs van Leer from the dutch band Focus:

He's a really good player. Strat King is a good title for him. That would be quite an honor considering all the other great Strat players in Europe.

Ha! Tele-ish now inbound.
Thomas is a nice guy, but there are definitely more Stratkings in Europe. This was just a promotional gimmick by Fender.

Sounds great. That man can play.

Of course. Take a look at the DVD "The Strat Pack" und you'll see many more stratkings. And even in Germany there are a lot of talented stratplayers. Some of them known, most of them unknown.Originally Posted by Jimi75

Gerald Gradwohl probably gets my vote!

This guy is in my eyes one of the German STRAT hopes:
Henrik Freischlader, great singer, too!

Wow, I really like his playing. I checked out the other videos and he and band are impressive. I'm going to have to do a little digging on this guy.Originally Posted by Jimi75
