    Default Howdy!!

    Hey Everybody,
Hoot Gibson here. I'm new to the forum. Found it trying to figure out what kind of Epiphone model I just purchased, but that can come later. I play mostly classic rock, inspired by Zep, Joe Walsh, Pink Floyd, Neil Young, etc, etc. I have been playing for 40 years plus or minus, some professionally in the early 70's, most of which I don't remember anyway. Guitars? Started with a 61 SG Junior (wish I still had that one). I'm still mostly into Gibsons, but also own Epi's, Fenders, and Ovations. I'm still looking for that golden tone that everyone dreams about but nobody really ever finds. If you find it, send me the recipe. That's all for now, Keep on Rockin' in the Free(?) World........Hoot

Welcome! I know how to find that golden tone. It's my little secret.

Howdy Hoot, welcome to the fret
I can't say that I've given up on a flanger cause I've never liked the effect either. I also can't say the same about Tremolo. I hate them both equally. - Tone2TheBone 2009

Welcome Hoot! Playing 40 years, that's even longer than me! But I would never think to rhyme "hoot" with "coot." That would be wrong.
