    on the attached it shows the red and white wires taped or secured together - do you know if they should be stripped at the end or left with casing on???

    Strip the wires, solder them together and insulate them. They need to be connected to complete the circuit.

    Yea what he said. They can also be shrinked wrap after soldering together or just electrical tape

    Electrical tape works in a pinch, but I personally hate the stuff. It always gets nasty sticky residue on anything it is wrapped around. Heat shrink is much better for guitar electronics. Just sayin' Rat Shack used to sell a package of heat shrink. Not great, but better than electrical tape.

    I agree I shrink wrap as ive been doing on puters or guitars.
