Default Wilco: I Am trying to Break Your Heart (movie)

I just watched this movie with my wife. Even if you do not like Wilco or Jeff Tweedy, it's worth a watch for the band dynamics & record label issues.

A fascinating film. Maybe it should have been called "I am trying to break up my band". Watching the way the rest of the band cluster round Tweedy in his argument with Jay Bennett is particularly cringe inducing.
    Electric: Fat strat > Korg PB > TS7 > DS1 > DD-20 > Cube 60 (Fender model)

Acoustic: Guitar > microphone > audience

I don't anything about the back story other than what's in the movie.

It was clear during the "Heavy Metal Drumming" mix down that there was a weird vibe between them. Jay Bennett seemed strangely caught in something. One probably needs to be in his shoes to understand the origins of it.

I caught a music performance, PBS type of show, some years ago and Wilco had Jay Bennett on guitar and keyboard. However good they are, they were pretty darn good with Jay Bennett in the line up.

I would be interested in catching up on what he has been doing???
