Some heavy Hendrix influence in the first vid. Reminded me of Jimi's late 60's Red House when he played the Flying V.

    Good stuff, thanks for posting.

We used to go see these guys whenever they came to town. I remember seeing them in Birmingham MI, If I remember correctly I think it was the Paladium, they were awesome. I remember the tune Louisiana Blues the most that you mentioned!

    Here is another. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CnVUOMJx3oY

Can see how one may liken it to early Hendrix but make no mistake that is just Kim Simmonds cooking that V

Why does it have to be Hendrix?
I mean seriously, recorded in '69...how many months of "heavy" influence could there have been???
I like Hendrix, but like him less and less when I hear people compare everybody to him...not unlike SRV. And even less when he becomes the be all of Rock-n-Roll guitar influences.
When I heard that song...I heard what I thought sounded like Peter Green*shrug*

I still have my Blue Matter LP...

I played that album to death when it first came out. The whole album is great, but the old Muddy Waters tune Louisiana Blues is my favorite. What a great blues jam song.

If you are referring to Savoy Brown's Blue Matter the whole thing rocks with Blues.kinda like Frito lays chips hard to pick just one cut they're all good.Everyone will have faves though :
    Edit:all their albums rock out
