Hey buddy, it's good to see you've taken the first step in our twelve step program. And although it's a little late, WELCOME!
Although I've posted a few times, I forgot to introduce myself.
I'm a 40-something Texan living up here in the Great White North. I've always wanted to play guitar and after a few years of owning -- and not frequently playing! -- an acoustic, I bought an EPI LP last year. I'm certainly a noob but I've been putting a lot of practice time in and have been having a blast! The Fret is my favourite place to visit on the internets and I'm happy to be amongst you fine gentlemen (and ladies too).
Cheers!

Guitars: Lots.
Amphs: More than last year.
Pedals: Many, although I go straight from guitar to amp more often lately.
Welcome for sure eh!
What made you move to Vancouver, us curious minds wonder?
The Law of Gravity is nonsense. No such law exists. If I think I float, and you think I float, then it happens.
Master Guitar Academy - I also teach via SKYPE.
Thanks, Sean! This is the best twelve step program I've been in by far! The last one frowned upon drinking during meetings!Originally Posted by FrankenFretter

Vancouver was the first job offer and since my wife and I have always loved Canada we took the plunge. We've been her almost 5 years now and really love it. Sure, it's not God's country, that's Texas.. but it's not so bad. LOL.
welcome

You are right there. The Pacific Northwest in general, and British Columbia, in particular have to be the most spectacular places in all of North America. That Texas crack was just good ol' boy Texan boasting.. I love it up here, rain and all.Originally Posted by sunvalleylaw

I'll bet that the parts of Texas that you don't like are the same that I don't like (rednecks, etc.)!Originally Posted by tot_Ou_tard

Only two things from Texas, steers and que...uh, wait a minute...that was Oklahoma, that's right, Oklahoma!
(Wait's for angry Oklahomans to appear...)
All kidding aside, welcome aboard bcdon! Hope you enjoy your stay!
Ah, nothing relieves the discomfort of GAS pains like the sound of the UPS truck rumbling down your street. It's like the musician's Beano.
Thanks, Bloozcat! It's definitely Oklahoma even if this line-ripoff saysOriginally Posted by Bloozcat
