Either a '59 Fender Bassman (reissue would be fine) or a Marshall Blues Breaker. They are both pretty similar under the hood.

Well, my old JC is kind of a relic these days I guess, but I'd have to stick with her. I think I'm the only one here still using one. A couple of folks here have owned one, and a few more have used them, but it's still a great amp IMHO.

I know what it lacks, but I know more of what it does well!

I may purchase another amp at some point, but it will be an addition!

There's nothing wrong with the JC. Even though it has no tubes every modeling amp on the market has a JC setting. Roland must have been doing something right.

Which you promptly sold to buy a POD ::!

I'd take John Mayer's #1 Dumble...play it for a bit & then sell it back to him.

On a serious note, a Dumble might suit me fine, but how would I know?

    Lightbulb One Amp ?

Since I play bass and dabble with guitar I'd pick a Brute Polytone. :

And I miss it everyday! But thats me I guess, I quickly get tired of my stuff and want new toys.
I can't say that I've given up on a flanger cause I've never liked the effect either. I also can't say the same about Tremolo. I hate them both equally. - Tone2TheBone 2009
