I toyed with the idea of putting one in my Fender for awhile. I read a bunch of stuff on Duncan's forums about them. I hear that the P90 and humbucker tones are really nice, but that the single coil tone is just so-so. YMMV

Looks pretty cool to me. You mention the single coil tone, but think about this in a Strat/Strat copy - the single coil bridge pup is just so-so usually anyway. Now, on an HSS that's wired correctly, I can see where this would REALLY make a lot of new tones available. Keep us posted.
