Default Which movie would you live out

    Hey frettellis,

If you had the chance to live out a movie of your choice for a couple days, which one would it be and why?

To my mind came movies like ROCKY, THE GODFATHER etc., but if I listen to my inner self I would end up as being Lightning Boy from the movie "Crossroads" with Ralph Macchio.

    Why:
I could imagine learning the blues from a true master and roaming the land for a couple days, sleeping in barns, playing clubs for money and taking my butterscotch 52 Tele everywhere with me. The icing on the cake would be to meet the devil at the crossroads and then to blow that Steve Vai character away with a mixture of Blues and Classic in a guitar duel!

Mine are documentaries, but Id like to live them out more than a couple of days...kinda like Vanilla Sky, towards the end, wheres hes really dead but instead its like fantasy...and for that Id like to live out "The Beatles Anthology" or "Why Does Everyone Stare" the Police documentary filmed by Stuart Coppeland. I wanna know what its like to go from being a normal person, to living in "the eye of the storm"...thier lives just seem fascinating.

Different parts of Riding Giants by Stacy Peralta. Surfing Hawaii in the 20th century before it got so touristed out. Yeah!

    http://www.apple.com/trailers/sony/riding_giants.html

Also, nearly any recent Warren Miller film. The movie storm has an alaska heli ski segment where the skier also plays a mean spanish style guitar.

Not that clip, but here is an example:

or here is a bigger clip:

Check out this trailer!! It is awesome!!

I always wanted to be a jedi, or maybe a Ranger from middle earth, but there is a lot of pain involved there. Films that inspire me often come from times of war or struggle and involve taking a stand. (Braveheart, Patriot, Lord of the Rings, Star Wars, list goes on.) I highly respect that and hope I could do my part if I had too. Not going to ask for it though. I could live out Chariots of Fire, but the ski/surf movies look like more fun!

    Peter Pan.
I have always wanted to fly and to never grow up. I also look great in tights. What an adventure it would be.
