    It's interesting to notice that the Strat has alnico pickups versus the less expensive ceramics that usually come in budget guitars.

    Yeah, it didn't come with those. Those are the GFS Texas Stagger Premiums. Not that the original pickups sounded horrible, but Strats should always have Alnico pickups for the single-coils. Always. For whatever my humble opinion may be worth, anyway.

    I feel better now knowing that those aren't the stock pickups. I don't know why but I just do.

    I feel better now knowing that those aren't the stock pickups. I don't know why but I just do.
    Maybe because at $129, that would be somewhat of a crime for that SX to have Alnico pickups?
