So I brought my Hell No 2 out for a gig for the first time. Dang, it works so well for blues and country! Remarkable.

We played at a hockey tournament! Way cool. We played 45 minutes before the game, then in the 2 intermission. We got good food, good money and free drinks too.

I used a Hellhound tube combo and a Maxon SD-9 and sometimes a Lovepedal COT50.

The guitar has a excellent pickups (Bare Knuckle "The Boss") and it was easy to get good rhythm tone on all pickups. I usually roll off the volume knob just a bit, perhaps down to 8. Then for leads and/or more aggressive tone, I crank up the volume control, kick in the SD-9 and MAN what a nice tone for leads.

Most Teles aren't this easy to work with, in terms of balancing a cleanish sound on neck/middle pickup, with a bridge tone with just the right amount of bite, without getting harsh.

I dig it. Last night's gig was FUN. This guitar is made for gigging!

Hellhound + Hell No. 2 = WIN
