jeez that's a good one... never tried to remove those little buggers... I've remove tuner ferrules that way but they are always messed up and have to be replaced....
I think the time has come to begin stripping the finish off my Tele. I've got everything figured out except what the best way is to remove the string ferrules. Is it just a matter of tapping them out from the front with a small screwdriver?

We've done four already, but now we're steady, and then they went one-two-three-four....
Well, after a bit of searching, I can answer my own question. I just tapped them out from the other side using a small Phillips-head screwdriver. In case anyone wants to see what my Tele looks like in pieces, you can check it out here.
