Geez, I dunno. Hmmmm.....my Mom's family (GERMANIC descent) has always used nothing but Magnalite since well before I was born (I'm 54). It's possible that somebody had connections back in the old country and in one fell swoop, outfitted the whole clan with Magnalite.Originally Posted by mrmudcat

Great cooking pots and pans.......indestructible......great conductivity of heat.....and solid enough to raise welts if hit with one.
