    Default New member here... humbly seeking some feedback

    Hi folks-
    I recently signed up on this site and have been reading the forums over the past few days. I've been playing (for fun) for way too long to not be way better than I am. I definitely fall into the group of players who play the same stale licks over and over, rarely producing an interesting melody. I was screwing around today and just recorded this lead over a backing track to Stormy Monday (backing track a la Allmans). It didn't feel inspired. Nevertheless, I'd be interested to hear any feedback and criticism on my playing...as well as any recommendations.

    I enjoyed the listening of all your cuts on the link...
    Really liked the tone on Dreaming of you... is that a Big Muff?
    About 1:00 on Its ALL you..that slide comes into play..nice crying slide??
    Ley to the highway has a nice ole rocking blues to it..
    And...I couldn't get Stormy Monday to play...

    Thanks for the feedback. I'm not particularly proud of these tracks but wanted some input... A big muff? Er, um, that's quite personal ;-), but no... I think I used my Korg Ampworks unit when I recorded that awhile back.
    I feel like most of what I play sounds the same (ie, hackneyed blues riffs)...

    You know...as humble as your setup was in this thread you sound pretty advanced. Why? Because you put space between your notes. It makes your material very nice to listen to. I'm looking forward to hearing more of your fine playing. Keep it up!

    That Korg did a nice job!! as did the guitar player!

    Hehe... it's OK... I'm not really sensitive about my fuzz. Thanks for the feedback, guys... I really appreciate it. It's reinforcing and I feel motivated to come up with some more stuff. And I will indeed post an introduction in the new users forum... glad to be here.
