Thumbs up Box.net - 1 GB free file storage

For those of you who are looking for a place to upload files (mp3, video clips, etc), check ut Box.net. It is quite sweet - you get 1 GB of free storage. That is quite a bit!

Why don't you try it out and post your thoughts about it here. If/when we start doing FretNet recordings, whether they end up on a CD or not, it might work for sharing the work as it progresses.

Let me know your thoughts, my friends.

OK, Robert, I'll try it. Thanks for the info!
    Looks easier than savefile, too.
    Here's my first attempt...

Very nice Robert. This looks like a very good thing.

    Thanks Robert!

How is the upload/download speed on that site?
I can't say that I've given up on a flanger cause I've never liked the effect either. I also can't say the same about Tremolo. I hate them both equally. - Tone2TheBone 2009

Thanks Robert - simple and free! Gotta love that.
I just uploaded at about 55kbs and the MP3 only took seconds.

As always Robert, you've done it again! How'd you stumble across that site? Man what a sweet deal and the transfer speeds are great!

Well, I am a web developer and good tools like this one I often hear about. I would also recommend www.netvibes.com - it's a really neat site that keeps track of all sorts of other sites for you. Box.net is available there too.

I'm going to see if I have got this right. Here goes nothin'!

Well I'll be a monkey on a cat's tail! This works cool!

Now I just need to get a connector cable (1/4" male to 1/8" male), and give the recording a go with Audacity (which I already have up and runnin') and my cornputer.

This forum rocks! It is the cat's meow!

(I hope Alex Bugnon is not upset as I copied a piece of his song off the radio...strictly for educational use in this forum. Very nice song too, I might add. )
